We Got Robbed!

Well, Chris and I didn't get robbed, but somebody I work with did!  During lunch today, just as clinic was getting ready for the afternoon, a man stole one of our nurse's wallets!  He was in the very back corner of the office where patients never go.  One of our docs was in his office with the door shut, and another doc was next door to that office with his door wide open.  They never heard anything, the docs that is, but another nurse heard some rustling and went back to check it out.  When she saw this man standing there, she asked if she could help him, and he said he had gotten lost.

He ended up darting down the audio hallway (I never saw him) and out the front door where a car with 3 other people were waiting.  They took off, and nobody could get the license plate number, but they did get the make and color of the car.

We don't know how he got back there, or if he came up on the elevator.  He maybe worked there with a previous cleaning crew??  Either way, he got in her purse, which was in a drawer, in the very back corner of the office and dug out her wallet.  She obviously has cancelled all her credit cards, debit cards, etc., and filed a police report, so hopefully they won't be able to use her stuff!

Random Thoughts

I wish I were creative.   I wish I could sew, quilt, paint, etc.  I just haven't tapped into that part of my brain yet.  And I want to!  But where to start?  I mean, do I just go out and buy a sewing machine and then sit and stare at it?  Baby steps, classes, a mentor/teacher...these are things I need.

I wish I could play the violin.  Someday, I will learn.  And then I'll buy the most awesomest violin ever!  Ok, probably not, but one can dream...can't they?

I wish the dillholes in our apartment complex were normal and worked during the day so they would stop calling management and corporate because our dog is a bit of a barker.  (Is that a run on sentence?)  We did buy a bark collar (it doesn't shock), and hopefully it will work out.

I wish the jeans I bought from Nordstroms fit right so I wouldn't have to get them altered!  But just because they are about 5" too long does NOT mean they are going back.  They will be cut and altered to my perfect specifications :)  And I wish the top I bought was actually grey, and not disco silver.  That top WILL be going back.

I wish that staying in Little Rock permanently were an option right now.  I've re-connected with two of my best friends growing up and their husbands.  They are so fun and we always have a great time!  As a matter of fact, we're all getting together tonight for yummy Chinese food!

I also wish I could say what I think.  A select few get to hear everything I think, but most people don't.  There's probably a good reason for that, but I'm not sure what it is quite yet.  It's probably a good thing my parents installed a filter between my brain and mouth :)

Valentines Day Fun

Chris has treated me to a wonderful Valentines Day!  The morning started when Baxter woke us up around 5:30 a.m. (we were thrilled) for his walk.  Chris took him and I got up and made breakfast.  OK, so maybe I didn't technically make breakfast, but I sent good thoughts towards the making of breakfast.  :)  Chris made a wonderful breakfast when he got in from walking Baxter while I stayed in bed pretending to be asleep! :)

After breakfast, we grabbed our bikes, aired up the tires, and went down to the river.  We rode to the Big Dam Bridge and back.  It was beautiful weather, kind of cold and windy, but sunny and just a nice morning to be outside.  Side note: Our butts are killing us.  I think we're going to need better seats!

We came back and got around for the day and went over to Jon and Kricias.  My parents were watching Grant and Jude while Kricia was out and Jon was in Austin running a half marathon.  We played for a little while and then left to go run more errands.  We had a hot dog from Sams for lunch and then Chris took me to see 'Confessions of a Shopaholic', which I loved!  I've read the Shopaholic series by Sophie Kinsella and was so excited to see the movie!

After the movie, we went to Blue Coast Burrito for a yummy dinner!  We love it there and the food is always delicious!  We're back home now, and for dessert, we had ice cream with hot fudge, cherries and whipped cream...yummm-ohhhhh!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Look at my awesome socks!

I bought these Nike socks from Academy sports last week.  Today I put them on and realized that they are special socks!
That's right, folks.  My socks are marked for Left and Right.  How jealous are you??

My Eye...

is fine!

That's right, folks.  I am fine, my eye is fine, and I couldn't be more relieved!  I saw the neuro-opthamologist today, and after running tons of tests, he determined (in all his knowledge), that my eye is fine.

Most likely, my blurry dot is a floater.  This, if you didn't know already, usually occurs in people who are nearsighted, like me.  My only instructions were to keep an 'eye' on it (no pun intended) and if more dots appear or if I start noticing flashes of light with them, than to just have it checked every year.

So, woo hoo for me!

Thanks for all your prayers, they really helped!

It's true, we're just a darn cute family!

And here's the proof!  Jon and Emily were so kind to do a little session with us a few weeks ago to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary.  They've sent us just 2 pictures, said we had to wait to see more on the blog, and have to wait to see the rest when the disc arrives here.  I was in love with the 2 they sent, and now I'm in love with the ones on the blog.  What's going to happen when I see them all??

Thanks for taking the time out for us and wrangling Lil' B!

So go check them out!  And tell me if you love them, too :)
