Pictures

These are a few pictures of Grant and Jude from Grant's 4th Birthday Party.  Grant had a great time playing guitar and having the famous Brian and Terri Kinder play at his party, but Jude could have cared less.  I just love these kiddos!

Jude...he really does like being a kid :)

Home...isn't it lovely!

We were out of town this weekend, looking for a place to live and it's so exhausting!  We found some cute places and got a feel for our new town, but I am so sad to be leaving Little Rock.  I'm sure we will love our new home, but uprooting ourselves and our lives once again is really weighing heavily on me.  This will be our fourth move in 5 years, and I'm tired of it.

Also, I've expanded my horizons and joined Facebook.  I've been putting it off, but my SIL talked me into it this weekend.  I'm still not completely sure on what I'm doing, but I am already addicted.  Thanks, Em!

Now to muster enough energy to prepare for the week...

Happy Birthamaday Hubband!

Today is Chris' 32nd Birthday!  He's kind of upset about it, so walk softly and carry a big stick around him today :)

Just some things I love about him:

He's always willing to be the guinea pig so I can learn new and amazing things...even if it means being hooked up to a multitude of electrodes!

He let me get a dog when we were married, even though he was very skeptical.  But turns out he can't imagine his life without Baxter.  He always makes sure Baxter has treats, food, water, and most of all, all his love.  Baxter gets so excited when Chris gets home and pretty much stays attached to his hip when he's home.  And yes, he is our child.

Chris loves to travel with me.  He's always up for packing and going somewhere new, even if it means I have to attend conferences while we are there.  He always plans fun things to do and looks for things that will entertain us both!  I've made him into a 'make a plan, work a plan' kind of guy.  Our favorite place is Chicago, but we've been to a lot of places and have had amazing times!

Happy Birthday to the BIRTHDAY BOY!  I love you!

One Room Down

The guest room is officially packed...mostly.

Hope you weren't planning to visit.

Happy Easter!

So I've not blogged in a while, but it's not for lack of events on my part.  It's the lack of motivation on my part.  Seriously, I've been SO lazy!

The last week or two at work has been hard.  I somehow ended up with a patient on my schedule, and lo and behold, she was crazy.  Why do I always get the 'woe is me' patients??  Long story short, there was some confusion about the earmolds coming in and ended up with an appointment to be fit.  Well, her earmolds were NOT in at that time, and so I had our secretary call and cancel.  Well, she showed up anyways, claimed she was home ALL day and didn't get the message.  I explained that while I knew it was frustrating, it was going to take a little longer to get her earmolds in.  When the earmolds didn't arrive by Wednesday, I called the company to check things out, and we should have received them by then.  They agreed to remake the earmolds and 2nd day air them to me.  Then, as I was winding down for the day, I get a message that I need to call this crazy patient.  She chewed me out, and before I could finish 'I hope you have happy Easter', the crazy woman hung up on me!

Thankfully, my boss is wonderful, heard the entire conversation, and agreed to take her back as a patient.

On a happier note, Grant's 4th birthday was yesterday.  Brian and Terri Kinder were there and Grant was thrilled!  He even got his guitar out and got to play with Brian!  The Kinder's were so kind and all the kids loved it!  I was the official picture taker with Kricia's camera, so I don't have any pictures yet, but as soon as they get to me, I'll post some.

Chris and I have hit the mother load of boxes.  Now we just have to start packing!  And more importantly than that, we have to find a place to live!  I had emailed a real estate agent about a duplex for rent, and he emailed a rather snotty and unprofessional email back, so needless to say, we won't be going through his company.  I've wanted to email him back and sign it 'Dr.', but I figure the minute I do that, he'll end up a patient at my new job.  It's just the way things go for me.

Last night we got to have dinner with Jennifer and Joe at Ghengis Grill, and it was so yummy! After dinner, we went to Pam and Micha's for dessert and to play Farkle.  With 3 kids running around, I left questioning whether or not I could handle kids of my own without drug intervention :)  I guess we'll figure that out when the time comes!

Hope you all have a Happy Easter!  Chris and I will spend today together, my family cancelled Easter :)
