Luke's Aunt Emily and Uncle Jon were nice enough to stop by on Mother's Day and take a few pictures of their little nephew at 3 months.  Here are a few of the results!

Grant and Jude came by for a couple photos.  Now if we could just get Luke sitting up and everyone looking at the camera, we'd be ahead of the game!

Wouldn't you want to pay .25 cents to take a picture with this sweet baby?

Thank you Beaty Photography for these wonderful pictures!

fugetaboutit friday

I've been a slacker lately.  It's okay...I'm waving the white flag and admitting it.

These past few weeks have been crazy!  We celebrated our awesome friends' 30th birthday party a few friday's ago, we went to branson, mo last friday for a family vacation, and now, here we are...it's friday.  again.

Last night was the night from hell.  Chris had a fever, Luke had shots at his 4 month checkup and was up all.night.long (which subsequently meant i was up all.night.long).  Hopefully today goes quickly and we welcome the weekend rooting for and against arkansas at dickey-stephens park (aka travelers stadium).  You see, the Arkansas Travelers are playing against the Arkansas Naturals.  Make sense now?  Good, it's 6 a.m. and i'm not sure how much of this coherent at this point.

I'm gonna fugetabout the awful night we had and head into this weekend with a great attitude that i hope is rejuvenated with a few extra hours of sleep now and then.  No plans this weekend, except for the game with AOC tonight, and I hope to keep it that way.  I just want to see where the wind blows us.

fugetaboutit friday.  sounds good to me!

Adventures in Babeland

Two weekends ago we took Luke to his very first baseball game to see the Travelers play.  It was rainy when we got there, but it passed quickly and he was a good boy despite the weather!  Aunt Susan, Uncle Robert, Uncle Kent, Aunt Guqueta, M and Pa were all there and they loved passing Luke around...until it was time for a diaper change.

(This was actually a rare moment.  Normally Luke screams like a banshee when Aunt Susan holds him)

Last weekend, we enjoyed a vacation to Branson, courtesy of my mom and dad.  It was actually our Christmas present to have a family vacation, so Jon, Kricia, Grant, Jude, M and Pa were there, too!  We had such a wonderful time and can't wait to vacation together again!  Luke was a trooper and slept through the night BOTH nights.  We went to Dixie Stampede and he made it through almost the entire show before screaming of being overstimulated.  He enjoyed his first swim in the pool and survived his first outlet mall shopping experience.  We are so blessed to have such a mellow baby!

Kisses from Jude and Grant
Luke adores them both and would just talk and grin when Jude came around.  It was so cute!

We've had a great time these past couple weeks and we love spending time with our families!  What a blessing they are to us and Luke!

Sounds

Things have surely changed since having a little one.  I catch myself listening intently to see if I can hear Luke waking up in his crib.  His monitor sits on my night stand.  The slightest of sounds jolts me awake, and after listening for more, he drifts back to sleep...and so do I.

My little boy turned 4 months old yesterday.  Like I've said, he's learned to roll from side to side, although he prefers rolling to the left because that's where the sounds and lights come from.  And this morning, as we are out of our 'routine', he's laying on his left side 'talking' to the bear and lion and watching the bears' nose light up and smiling at the lion.  He cracks me up.  Oh, the conversation he's having is adorable and I love his curious nature as he searches for more things to talk to :)

He's a very mellow baby, unless he's hungry, and then he really doesn't have any patience.  He'll probably be like my little brother as he gets older and we'll be restricted to fast food drive thru's because he won't be patient to wait for his food at a nice restaraunt.

Luke continues to amaze me!  I love being his mommy!
